This picture gives you an idea of where the bezel clips are located, gently pulling around the edges will get the job done. The Gas tranny an eng temp gauges stayed inop but the Voltage and oil pressure gauges worked fine. Commonly, fuel gauge failure has led to drivers being stranded along the road as they attempt to measure their fuel by miles driven on the odometer. I have hundreds at home so I didn't mind replacing a few.
By the way installation is the reverse of this, have fun. Moving on, now the low coolant light comes on when I know the level is fine. The security light flashes 5 time then the battery light will flash once. Not a major problem but definitely a symptom. Then it would stop about 10 to 15 seconds then start again, then about 5 minutes later it started to do it continuously.

Other then this problem which is big because I can't drive at night and it's illegal to have no instrument panel lights. I turn the switch to all three positions and tried the dimmer for each one. Gas gauge won't work, speedometer, drive, park, neutral lights don't work, then after I hit a few bumps, gas gauge starts working, drive, park neutral, etc. Went into hood fuse compartment did the same thing didn't work at all.

This may be also refered to as a speedometer, speedometer cluster, instrument cluster, dashboard, instrument panel, combination meter, ipc, gauge cluster or just plain dash. At this point gently put the odometer back in place on the board, check the connections to make sure bending didn't dislodge any other pins or the one you just fixed and test it in the truck before putting it all back together. These gauges can be either analog the needle type or digital. When cluster fails, radio, power windows or interior dome light does not work. Keep in mind this option is probably not under a warranty period. At this point with any luck you've fixed your problem and it didn't cost you any money, just a short amount of time. Prompt panel repair is important; otherwise the panel may give faulty readings and send wrong indications to the driver. He said it shorts out and causes knock sensors to read wrong and all kinds of gauge cluster glitches. Take note of the message center connector plug, this must be disconnected before you can completely separate the two pieces.
Oil pressure and Voltage gauge working fine. I talked to one a few days ago and he said to replace the ignition switch. I know the guy installed an aftermarket Pioneer stereo and is making me think he did something wrong, because when the truck is running with the stereo on and I turn the headlights on the odometer and what gear i'm in go out. Since then I have always left out the dimming leads on my stereos and just dim them to my perfered brightness in the stereo menu once and leave it. This picture is zoomed in so you can see the bad connector on my circuit board, also the pin was physically loose. Ok maybe not eternal but I'd really appreciate it.
