I'm sure my wifi works, I have other devices connected to it right now that are fully functional, only win10 doesn't connect. Thank you all in advance. Going back to Device Manager, it does not show the wireless adapter. Whenever we need to connect our devices to the internet or local network, we prefer to connect our devices to the Wi-Fi primarily. Now I am not able to connect to internet via wifi and no solution seems to work.
I downloaded the file from another computer to a flash drive and copied that file to the desktop on the troublesome laptop. I can connect to smartphone hotspot and nobody else in my building is have issues. If you cannot find such a setting then you can either spend time investigating the subject further or just uninstall it to make sure that it is not interfering with Windows' control of the WiFi card. This fix stopped working one day and even reinstalling the driver wont help. I went back into router settings to double-check things.
In this condition, you have to connect it manually by printer panel and settings. But since it was working fine I did not change it. The Dell laptop runs on Windows 10, upgraded from windows 8. My other laptop still on Windows 7 has no problems. If so, then your WiFi card may be going. Usually available on amazon - take your pick -- I'd go for the faster ones though if you are doing this. Desktop can't connect I think I've tried all the obvious stuff. When I attempt to connect to this network, the Network and Internet tab on my taskbar minimizes. They will both have the default drivers that come with Windows 10. Restart your computer to apply them. But it doesn't seem to make much of difference. Could it also have something to do with the fact that the wifi drops a lot? And the strange thing is, whenever the Internet drops on the laptops, it works fine on mobile devices like my iPod and nexus 7.

I tried disabling the Ethernet, I've updated the drivers on both Wifi and Ethernet and I've gone to the Ethernet site to get the latest driver. Your computer can connect to this router with Ethernet cable or data cable. When I tried to connect, I got a message box saying Windows was gathering router info or something to that effect , then it asked for my password key which I correctly entered, and finally it said it couldn't connect and offered the diagnostics trouble-shooting tool which I have run many times previously.
